Anybody Sold your T4R lately? What did you get for it? I need some price advice.
Hey guys,
I just listed my 2005 4runner limited V8 and I wanted to get some advice from you guys on my price. I listed it for $19,900. I put a lot of effort keeping this thing looking sweet and keeping all the records etc.
Please look at this as if you were selling your car. what would you list it for and what is the least you would take?
I appreciate the input. I want it to sell but I want to get a good price for it as I feel that most owners probably don't spend the amount of time I have over the years caring for this car. Baby#3 is on the way unfortunately the 4runner can't swing 3 carseats without being totally cramped.
Here's my listing with some more details on the car:
2005 Toyota 4Runner LIMITED. Blue w/Gray Lther.Borla.V8. Wrty,1 owner!.
Thanks!

according to NADA, it is worth 18,275. I bought my 2006 in December with 73K on it for 17,500, and it was a SR5 4X4. just depends on how good the market is around there, I did the NADA for Miami

That rig is really clean, good luck with the sale. Out here in AZ the prices are a bit lower for 2wd, but in FL the market might be a little stronger!

I just saw your add and you don't have a 4x4 that will hurt your resale value - I would say around 13k for your truck for a private party to private party sale

thanks for the replies guys! I'll probably leave it for a week and see if I get any bites. If somebody actually comes out to see the car I expect to get a strong offer. The look and sound of the Borla are intoxicating!
The 13k estimate is low as I already got a carmax offer for more than that (and they are usually low b/c they have to make a decent profit on resale). thanks again.

I bought my 2006 SR5 4x4 V8 for $11,800 before taxes. 109,500 miles. I probably got a steal of a deal compared to what others are getting but I think you're $19k is way over, sorry. I saw '07s and '08s going for less than that. Best of luck with your sale, though. Why are you selling?

lowered the price to $18,900. Hopefully I'll find a buyer who is willing to pay a little more for premium '05 with some extras. that's pretty close to the lowest I'll settle for at this point (maybe i'm blinded b/c i'm the owner -- like how all parents think their kid is cute even it it looks like a little Shrek).

Depends on circumstances of the buyer, how long you're willing to wait, and how many other options are local to your area. I ended up paying $26k for a 2008 V8 Sport Edition with 60k miles this past January because of time constraints.

I think you'll be lucky to get 16k. It's in good shape but 2wd would hurt it badly out here. Not sure if people in FL care or not.
Good luck!

Prices are definitely a bit higher in your area than mine, but I pulled up local results for your area and here is one of the examples. '07 SR5 V8 4x2 68,000 miles for under $17,500
2007 Toyota 4Runner Sport, $17,495 - Cars.com
Unfortunately modifications don't add into the value of the vehicle; for example, someone who is looking for a family SUV may be turned off because of the exhaust, while on the other hand others would love it (myself included). It is great that you take care of your truck, many people on this forum keep their 4Runners in excellent condition, so I wish you good luck on your sale but keep in mind more price adjusting may be necessary.

I bought the exact same model except it was a 2004 a month ago and had 88K. Paid 12K for it. Good luck. I would say you might swing 15K if you're lucky.
It didn't have a warranty on it though.
I'm also in Florida.

This guys had this one up on CL for about 2 months now. Surprised he hasn't lowered the price.
2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited V8, Great Condition. Must See! White.
I paid 14.5k for my one owner 2004 w/100k miles. 4x4 though and I think that makes a big difference in certain markets. Prices/demand is highly variable dependent on region though.

Yeah, nobody cares about 4x4 here in FL. In fact they probably prefer not to have it for a little bit better gas milage.

I'm selling to..wait for it..get a minivan! My wife drives this car anyway and we just found out kid #3 is on the way. Unfortunately I don't see 3 car seats going in the 4runner comfortably...planned on driving this thing until the wheels fell off...never wanted to get a minivan but you got to do what you got to do...i still have my Lexus IS F to ease the pain though so it's not all bad.
