Mine blinks randomly all the time for the whole drive. Always goes away on its own the next day and doesnt come back unless it feels like it.

It's not that stupid. Most folks today can't identify half the warning lights on their car. I see more folks driving around this time of the year with the indicator on due to low air temps and no one cares to inflate their tire back up. It's the same thing.
I'm sorry, but I've been driving for almost 20 years, mostly without TP monitors, and I never once felt my tire start to go. Even when my light came on at 80 mph with a fully loaded vehicle for camping it felt the same. Light came on and by the time I hit the shoulder it was completely flat. It very likely would have been a blowout and I very likely would have lost control since I don't run my sway bars.

Sorry boss, but I'd rather not kill myself, my son, or some other family. That shit is akin to a motorcycle rider crossing double yellows in the canyon because they're faster than the car in front of them. Gonna end up killing themselves or someone else doing it someday.

Calls it a stupid idea, blames potential blow out and loss of control on dummy light .. but runs no swaybar. Yeah. That's wouldn't be more dangerous in a 80 mph blow out than no dummy light.

Don't be so hypocritical of what other's do to their trucks.

Difference being that I know I'm not running sway bars, which most likely anyone lifted and who actually wheels isn't running them, and therefore keeping the dummy light is probably a good idea. I don't see how that's hypocritical. I didn't tell you not to run 80 mph unless you have a sway bar did I? Internet tough guy, I get it. Glad you aren't in my state putting myself and my son at risk.

Had America's Tire check it for me. One sensor's dead: one sensor's battery is very low; the other three are fine for the time being. He quoted me roughly $76 each, installed. Still want to check Sam's and Costco.

I had Costco mount new Michelin A/T2 tires in late Nov.; in late Dec I had the TP light start flashing. Made some calls, OR Toyota dealer want $80 for sensor and $90 to install, local WA Toyota dealer was even higher (plus sales Tax) at $90 for part and $115 for install. Costco checked the sensors and determined one was bad. They quoted me $45 for part and $15 for install, while they were doing the install and the programming they got a low battery reading on another one sensor and replaced it, just charging me for the part. So for $115 (including tax), I got 2 sensors replaced and no more flashing light. I was leery about going aftermarket for the sensors, but I know Costco will stand behind them. Also, had I worked with either Dealer they do not fill their tires with nitrogen, which feel is a plus since it mantains the pressure better in my experiences.
Pulling a 20ft trailer I want to know what is going on with my tire pressure since so much is riding on them.
PS: the new tires area blast in all of the snow we have received....my wife said she looks for snow bound small roads when she is out running errands to have some fun plowing thru the drifts...now that is something new for her to do....we love this 4Runner!!

Ive had mine blinking since I took a trip to Raleigh, NC last week.Started when I was halfway there so I stopped and checked tires, But had normal PSI. Took it to discount tire yesterday and had my 4,000 mile balance and rotation done. and they said all the batteries were good so they reset the TPMS. However right after I left it came right back on. What could be causing this?

That’s why. It’s looking for the 5th sensor.

TPMS warning light

I had that annoying sensor go off and checked all my tires and they were all inflated properly. I was told that the batteries are dead in one or more of the tires that will need to be replaced. When I heard the cost of replacing them, I decided not to bother. It isn't worth the trouble to do this. I just ignore the stupid light since I check my tires once a month regularly so don't need some dumb light to tell me anything. After a couple of weeks of ignoring it, I don't even notice it anymore. I also heard the spare tire is connected to this system too, so if you don't find the tire that is causing the issue, it could be your spare tire.

The light is on because of the missing spare, or if you have it back on the spare tire holder it has no air now, either way no spare or air in the spare the T4R TPMS is programmed for 5 tires and as such the light will come on, when you have all 5 on the truck and under pressure the light will go off....unless when you had the blowout it damaged the sensor.

How do you disable that annoying TPMS light? I check my tires every month and they are always fine, but I can't stand that annoying light. Replacing the dead batteries is an option, but why pay for something I don't need! Thanks!

Count me in for the blinking TPMS light on the dash as well on my 07' T4R. I used the following procedure to try and diagnose the issue:

engine running
left front tire
drop tire pressure to 25 psi
TPMS light changes from blinking to constant illumination
Increase tire pressure back to 32 psi
TPMS light changes from constant illumination back to blinking
.
repeat process for other 4 remaining tires

Not sure what to make of this. It's obvious there is not a complete lack of communication with each tire sensor and the control module.

My light was on continuously and after checking the pressures, etc, still stayed on.

Then I took the vehicle in for O/C and tire roto, lights off...?!?!
