There are 2 Kinds of rear hatch spoilers?
Im here the the local dealer in Las Vegas and Im noticing how different the rear hatch spoiler on my 05 is versus the ones that they have on their 05's here in Vegas.
Odd..i thought it was a Toyota part but maybe not. The ones here go up much higher and are closer to the rear window than my Tx based one is...odd. Any info on this?

The other spoiler may be a port installed version versus the one installed from the factory??? Just a guess.

for '03 and '04 there were two slightly different spoilers, one factory installed and one port installed. So for '05 they changed the spoiler to have a scoop at the top and maybe again there is a difference between the port and factory installed spoilers.
BTW if you search spoilers you can find pics of the two different ones for the '03,'04 models.

I know that the Highlander has an optional spoiler, and it would not surprise me if some dimwitted dealer installed one of those on a 4Runner. The size is not that much different and I bet it would fit without much trouble.
Just a guess!

I guess thats what this is...
as mine was installed at the facotry and doesnt really stick up any higher than the rear of the roof, but the ones around here actually have like a vertical lip to direct air down the back of the glass.

Big difference
Big difference between teh 04 stock spoiler, and the 05 stock spoiler. I'm baised to mine, the of, the 05 seems to be bulkier. I did a double take the first time I saw the 05's spoiler, it looked more out of place IMO.
