I am new to the forum but will hopefully be purchasing a 4Runner soon. I had a 95 and loved it.
I am looking at a 2007 SR5 with 40,000 miles at a dealership. It's in good shape except for the seats with have stains on them, but that's not a big deal. No navigation or anything like that. It has a moonroof and running boards - that's about it.
Dealer is asking right at 20k. I have looked at KBB, Edmunds and CR and think a fair price may be close to 16,500, but am not sure.
Does anyone have any advice they can offer. Thanks in advance.
If it's a 4X4 in good mechanical condition, and has never been in an accident, then I'd say $20,000 is a good price from a dealership. You can always haggle down though.
For that low of miles, if you can haggle down to the $18,000 range, then I'd think you'd be getting a great deal.
I'm not too sure how it works in warm climates, but from what I'm used to, the lack of 4X4 could be used by a buyer to haggle down the price a good deal.
Hmmm, I think they are kinda high, too high for the year. I bought my '07 2WD in Pensacola in 2010, with 42,000 miles on it for $18K + taxes and fees. That was 2 years ago, when it was worth more. I definietly think you should work on talking them down, they are asking a bit much. And my interior was in great shape, not a single stain anywhere.
