Thumbs down Engine Bay Light??

Why doesnt a $30,000+ SUV have an engine bay light?
As in... the light that comes on when you open the hood, so you can see the engine at night.

Personally, I have always found engine bay lights to be useless -- they don't put out as much light as a flashlight. So I don't miss it on the 4Runner.

...and if it did have a light, someone would say it's not bright enough.
If it was brighter someone would say it's not pointed in the right direction.
If it was a floodlight someone would say the stupid light blinds them at night and wish they could disconnect it.

Toyota does not put a light under the hood because Toyota's never break down.

Kind of like a Rolls Royce -- they don't break down, they "fail to proceed."
