Anyone willing to take a look at their stock front suspension and tell me what color paint marks are on either side?. Should be red/blue on one side and red/white on the other.
EDIT Problem solved!
Red/white driver
Red/blue passenger
Thanks
@Tresvn

What coils are you using? I know the FJ Springs have these paint marks, but I don't remember if the 4Runner does, I'll look on TIS real quickly.
TIS Says nothing about the spring paint marks. They assume you're rebuilding one coil/spring unit at a time, thus not mixing up the two spring.
Maybe someone has a stock rig they can post? I'll see if we have a customer's vehicle I can take a quick peek at.
That would be awesome. I'm about to start crawling under strangers rigs to see what's up. I was also unable to find any info anywhere regarding the colors. Including TIS, this forum., 120, even just a google search. So any thing you can throw my way is much appreciated thanks

Unfortunetly today we have not a single 4th gen on the dealership today, used, customer, or personal vehicle (aside from mine, but I have a 2.5" OLW lift.) The only thing I can suggest, is if the springs are meant to be on one side specifically. They more than likely are wound differently and thus one will sit in the spring perch better than the other. Its about the only thing I can offer until someone with a stock rig chimes in.

Hey thanks man. Much appreciated. As far as how they sit in the perch they both seem to fit nice and snug and match up to the top plate back to the stock imprint in the rubber. Once agin thank you blackworks!
If anyone with a stock rig or someone running the 5100s with stock springs could still chime in that would be great.

Driver side: red & white ... Passenger: red & blue
I verified this myself today (04/09/21) by looking closely at the front OEM coils in a bone-stock, original-owner 2006 4Runner with its original struts.
