I agree, LT versus P is a major change.
I never saw the Revo2's in a LT or the BFG's in a P in the 265/65/18 size.

Which load rating did you get? C, D, or E?
I'm debating between these and the DuraTracs... I need a tire that's good on ice/packed snow and want a sidewall that I can be confident with on the rocky trails. By the way, I do love my Silent Armors, but want to up-size and get something a little more aggressive.

I was thinking these but I'm mostly a pavement pounder (little offroad, usually mud when there is). I love the looks but I don't need much snow/ice since I'm in Atlanta and we don't usually get any, but when we do we get tons of ice.

I believe the 265/65/18 size is only offered in load rating E.

Just get them! They wear like iron, will go 50k miles if you keep up with your air pressure and rotate the tires every 5k miles

The BFG AT's are good all around tires.

I just bought these same tires last week. I have a stock suspension 2006 4runner and there is no rubbing at all, and I've tested at full turn each direction going forwards and backwards. they look great and am looking forward to how they will do on ice/snow.

Do you guys really get better traction with these, or is it just exciting to have new tires? Reason I ask is because the consensus among the various 4x4 forums all over the internet is that the BFG KO tread pattern is about 30 years past it's prime and it actually is one of the worst tires made for snow and mud. They are great for rocks and dirt...but snow and mud paralyzes them. They are also bad for the road because of the high rolling resistance and weight.
I'm not trying to start a war because I've run the BFG KO three different times myself. And honestly, I'll likely never buy them again.
But there is no denying that they do look fantastic on your 4Runner.

The idea that you know what internet consensus is, is about as ridiculous as the idea that it would mean anything even if you did.

well i can say that when i first got the set i have 2 years ago we got a blizzard here in Ma. i park my 4runner across the ft of our driveway due to the amount of cars at my house. the snow from the storm and plowing was about 1/2 way up the door and i have a 2.5/1.5 lift too. i had to get in the pass side. the truck is an AWD and i did not even have to put in 4low. it went right through the snow like it was not even there.my neighbot across the street could not believe i went though it in 1 shot.
the only think i do not like about the BFG is the worse fuel mileage.
the one thing the guy at the tire shop told me when i got them is keep them rotated and balanced. he has seen them go as much as 80,000 miles. i rotoate and balance every 4000 miles. hey they do it for free since i bought them there.

No, I just seem to be the one person on this forum that tells it like it is for some reason.

Well, since I've owned dozens of 4x4s I've been members of Ford, Ram, Jeep, Nissan, and Toyota forums, not to mention the independent 4x4 forums like Pirate and ihatemud, etc. And, in all my tire shopping days I've read thousands of reviews from tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com and treadepot.com and magazines. So I've been around a LOT on this subject. And EVERY place I go says that the BFG is not a good traction tire. It was in the 1980s. And maybe even in the 1990s it was pretty good. But technology has far surpassed where this tire is and they are still selling them based upon the name alone.
Since I've run the tire 3 times in the past myself, I have credibility and can say honestly that the reviews are true....this tire was awesome when we were younger but now it's a waste of money. Overpriced, under performing, and poor for every terrain except dry dirt/rocks.
If you guys don't want to hear the truth...go on with your little party. I'm just offering honest advice from experience. Take it or leave it.

I'm not saying the BFG's are "better", just totally different. Less high-way, more my-way.

your truck looks great. I am trying to get to that stance as well. What brand of 1 inch spacer did you use. I may look at some fj coils with a spacer. Not sure what I want to do yet.
