Hi guys, so I was debating between a 4runner and a tahoe, I decided to go with a 4th gen because even though I love ford n chevy, I think it will last longer and is more offroad capable. This wil be a dd and weekend family offroad rig. Here in AZ there's plenty of fun to have. I want the v8. Probably gonna be a 03 or 04 cuz that's what I can afford. Any info u can help a noob with is appreciated. I want to lift it and putsome muds on it, and a winch down the road amongst other upgrades. Not too much upgrading but a nice rig.

Welcome you will love the V8. Mine has 112k, runs and even feels brand new. The pinnacle of 4runners is the 4th gen...it still looks fantastic today!

Yep, I searched a while to find a white V8 with no sunroof back in 2006. Absolutely love it, one of the best 4WDs and best engines I've ever owned. Goes like hell if you need it to.

Most power, available V8, best interior materials, nice size, great design. Not sure it's hard to argue that one.

I too like Ford and Chevy but I got a 03 T4R because of the reliability, Toyota just out last them so you made the right choice.

as im reading about lifts, i understand that suspension lifts are better than spacer lifts and the issue with wheel droop with spacer lifts. my question is, would the offroading in this video be suitable for spacer lifts or will this kind of wheelin require a suspension lift. im sure down the road i will upgrade to a full suspension lift, but i want to get wheelin asap.also i understand that inside the coil/shock is better than top out. thanks

Also. I'm confused on coil shock lift. If u get thr bilstein 5100 shocks, do u use your stock coils, or is that where u get the fjc coils. To achieve a 2.5 lift.
And are all bilstein 5100 shocks the same, I noticed as searching prices, some give specific model like silverado, jee.
