Bad Piston Calipers

So i thought something was smoking a few weeks ago on my rig so got out inspected my 04 sr5 4wd and noticed the brakes was where the smell was coming from. I bought a set of pads, had my mechanic change the pads the left side was where the problem was so once we took it off one of the pistons was seized up. So i had to go to advanced and pay 78.00 to buy a remanufactured one. Well After we replaced the new left caliper and all new pads now it feels like the right side is get hot also *making the wheel hot* like it did with the left side. Is this a common problem with the runners? I've already had to replace the head unit and haven't even owned it 5 months. I"m starting to feel disappointed in the rig. It's 2004 with 99k miles.

Calipers is a big problem with 4runner. There is no GOOD aftermarket replacement to fix this design flaw from Toyota. Your best bet is to buy a rebuilt with a lifetime warranty.

We replaced the left cylinder yesterday and what do you know the right side went back not even 5 miles down the road. So i had to go out today and buy another one from advanced auto. Pain in the A** lol
