Ahh ... Height control and adjustable tail end height?

I just took delivery of my 2008 Limited with Xreas and height control/adjustable height in the rear etc.

This is a feature I honestly could not care less about, but since the car does have it, I figure I might as well make sure it works since now is the time to have warranty work done.

How do I know if this thing works? I have a button to turn height control off and a button that appears to be for adjusting ride height in the back, but as far as I can tell, the height doesn't change when i hit that button. Do I have to have height control on or off to change it? Or do I have to have a trailer for anything to happen at all?

Thanks

The height control is always on unless you hit the off button. If weight is added to the back, it should automatically raise the rear to be leveled back out. If you press the button on the console the rear end should raise and lower (~1" each way). When you press to raise it up, you should be able to hear the compressor kick on and see the rear coming up. It's not hard at all to tell that it's working.

Ah, nice so there is an easy way to tell without a trailer. That's what I needed, thanks.

OK, so I have had a chance to play with it and it is indeed an interesting system. Raise it and lower it - easy. And it does go back to center once you go above 19mph like it says.

The only thing I'm confused about is the "weight control off" button. When I push it nothing happens - can i only turn this off when there is a trailer on the back? Should I not see an indicator somewhere when I push it?
