lift and tires

Hey folks!
So I finally got my new car! Of course...a 4Runner. (Not new, changed my mind.) Its an '04 v8 Sport Edition with 78K Miles. So I would want to give it a 3" lift. What is your best reccomendation (Ome, toyotec ultimate kit etc.) ? I would want to go with close to 33" tires. If you know of any sales...I would love some advice. Looking for the best quality for cheapest price.

What he said ^. Also, if you're interested in wheeling, check this out. I see you're from NY.

Is it common for people to do a combination of body lift and suspension lift to avoid the complications of going past certain limits for each which cause problems?

For example. A .75" body lift along with a 2.5" suspension lift for a total lift of over 3" instead of just doing a 3-3.5" suspension lift that pushes the CV's to the max?

I'm running 6" lift total with 35's and never had any issues with joints or anything and shes 10 years young now. My baby is solid. Just keep routine maintenance and lube her up good and you're all set!!

IMO, don't do a body lift unless its practical, Just go with the lift that will get you the height you want, Coilovers are always best. Pick the tire size right after you have everything installed so you know what will give you the best look/ ride performance. Nothing worse than buying donuts to put on a beast that look terrible and will give you poor performance LOL
