Reverse light wire

I am trying to tap into my reverse light wire so that some extra lights come on when i put it in reverse. I looked at the plug on my tail light and think it is the red wire with yellow stripe. Can anybody confirm that? Or if anybody has tapped into the trailer harness for this, could you chime in as well. Thanks!

Not sure which one it is, but make sure the lights you're adding are on a relay or LED's as to not overload the circuit.

These are LEDs so they hardly draw any power.

There are access panels on each side of the cargo area that give you acces to the tail light wiring. I spliced into the wire right there.

So, did we confirm its the red wire w white stripe to tap in the backup lights?

Let's see some pics of where you all are mounting your lights, too. I'm trying to find a solid base, that's fairly indiscreet.

If I remember correctly its a red and yellow wire that you can tap in to it on the drivers side near the floorboards by the door.
