The front and rear driveshafts need to turn at slightly different speeds when turning because the rear tires follow a wider arc than the front, and maybe for some other reasons IDK.

As far as I understand, the problem is wheel binding. The wheels need to be able to turn at different speeds. But if the center diff is locked but the front and rear are still open, wouldn't the rear and front diffs allow the wheels to turn at different speeds?
What am I missing, my friend? Please enlighten me.
