Did the super easy weekend mod of swapping out sway bar end links. Took no time at all.
Attempted a rusty brake line replacement but rounded out the head of the nut with my line wrench. That job might belong to a shop

Endlinks are either cake or a major pain in the a$$. Did mine recently and one of fronts barely even needed holding with the allen key and came right off (impact gun is useful here).

One of my rears snapped 2 allen keys before I decided to grind it off (can't fit an impact in there).

Yeah same here, I also had a K&N filter for the time I owned my Eagle Talon (7-8 years). Never had the issue of over oiling it.

DIY Wind Fairing

CNC Aluminum eBay Letters for $45. Pine plank 36"x6" x 3/4thick $5.
Hammered Paint & Primer $8.

My fasteners were too big for the crappy Roof Rack I had, so I just Zip Tied them and was surprisingly content with the way it ended up. I will likely fasten it properly later on; but it did the job.

Roof Rack is 2x of
Apex Low Profile Steel Roof Cargo Basket - 39-1/2"L x 36"W x 2-3/4"H | Discount Ramps
Installed together as one.

Sorry the images are f'n Massive.

Future Easy Weekend Mod question - just purchased a 2007 SR5 4x4...nice shape: only 1 original owner and 149k miles, serviced regularly, all that good stuff. Dealer noted that front passenger side shock had a leak (it does NOT have xreas). I wasn't worried about that since I already have some brand new Bilstein 5100's for front and back. QUESTION: anyone in the Front Range area have suggestions of a shop that will install these for a fair deal? Or any Front Rangers out there willing to help a brother out on a DIY prouject? I don't have a garage, nor the tools to do it on my own, otherwise I'd dive in and get it done...but that said it would still be nice to have someone that has experience with this simple mod there to help. Thanks!

Fort Collins 4x4 installed the lift on my 06, they were really great and professional all around!

Nobody probably reads my build thread.

A good weekend mod I did recently was to install an FJ passenger side wheel well liner to cover up more of the air intake inlet

The FJ's have a different liner with the air vents moved up. If you guys trimmed your front liner like I have with my aftermarket bumper, it leaves a lot of the air intake exposed.

Parts needed:

Liner part# 5380735111. OEM is like $160 but aftermarket is $25.
Orange and blue clips #75495-35010 #75397-35010
Black 'pinch' clips

FJ's:

Mine:

I layered the factory liner with the new FJ liner because the FJ liner didn't follow the rear of the fender very well so I used a bit of both.

Intake entrance:

Not much of a path for water:

The one extra bolt/washer is used to help hold up the bottom of the new liner:

Guess that fj liner wont work with the stock window washer res.? maybe you mentioned that, seems like i absorb half of what i read.

You need some full coverage inner splash guards, really helps keep the engine bay clean/er.

Haha.

Good point about the windshield washer reservoir. I didn't think about that.

With the splash guards, I made my own for the rear of the engine bay, but for the front the shock's remote reservoirs mount in the way and I've been lazy about covering them back up.

My easy weekend mods.
HCF delete and drop in K&N filter.
Fog light mod.
Refinish head light covers and H9 conversion.
DIY 1/2" UHMW body lift.
Running board delete.
Front swaybar delete.
Body Mount chop.
Extended rear SS brake lines.
Hand woven Paracord attic cargo net.
Kydex firearm holster in center console.

Many of these mods are from this thread and I've been working on them for years. I finally, this week, finished reading through the entire thread lol. I want to thank everyone for the great ideas and trailblazing work you've all done here.
