I just got done replacing the rear pads and rotors on my 2004 4runner.
I'll give you a run down of what happened.
1. First I replaced only the pads and I got a squealing noise after that when moving.
2. Went and bought new rotors and replaced them. Re-bled the brakes and it's still doing the same thing.
3. I ran out of time and had to run home. I have to figure this out tomorrow.
4. It still squeals while I'm driving and braking. Almost like something is dragging.
What could it be? I'm thinking the caliper could be seized. Before I changed the pads there was pulsing from the rear and now that's gone. The pads were wore way down and the rotors were shot. I'm thinking I missed the left rear caliper being frozen.
I went back out to my driveway to give it one last check before buying a new caliper. Turns out I put the retaining pin in backwards. I'm such an idiot.
