General Grabber AT2

Does anyone have some experience with the General Grabber AT2 tires?

Check the tire and lift thread, also tirerack website.

Overall comments and rating are positive, depends on how you plan to use them too.

yup, i have them on my pickup. love them, cheaper than the BFG all terrain, and they actually have a warranty were BFG's don't. i have the BFG's on my 4runner and i like the generals better.

I just put them on my 4Runner but I don't have anything to compare them too (old tires were very worn road tires). I chose them because they were so much cheaper than the BFG's but seem to be on par with performance and quality based on what I read. So far I have zero complaints.

I currently have a set of P265/70R17 on my 2006. They have done well in all weather, including hard pack snow and ice this winter. The abundant siping clearly in play. Noise? Yeah there is some. That is the price for the aggressive tread. But it's minimal.

This is actually my second set of the General Grabber AT2's. The first set was on my 1998 4Runner; again, a Standard Load tire. Those tires took the 4Runner up Mineral Creek south of Ouray, CO. I was worried the sharp rocks would get the best of me, but to my surprise after 3 full days of trail riding the AT2's didn't look the worse for wear. For light off roading they are a great tire.

would be hard to tell. they are on two different types of vehicles. as for them on my truck they are quiet. the bfgs on the 4runner have a little more noise due to the rears being in the cabin area where the pickups are not near the cabin area.

I have a set on my XJ and a set of the T/A KO's on my 4Runner and they ride and handle like any other tire. BFG has the edge off road but nearly the same in on road driving dynamics.

I have these on all 3 of my tundras. They are good tires , makes some noise but not like a mud tire at all. I noticed they do get little flat spots when parked but the wobble goes away after a couple minutes of driving. Good traction on all surface.

I'm running the load range E version. They should be tougher and more firm but they're a fair bit heavier so probably do nothing good for fuel economy. I don't think they have two options in every size though.

Buddy of mine just put them on his 2008 Taco. Good looking tire. Not alot of noise. He loves them and for the price I don't think you can go wrong.

I have them. Great tire, aggressive looks very good in the wet, snow n ice too. I have a couple pics in my album. I choose them over the bfgs ( these are better than mud tires IMO) and the revo 2s. Too me they are noisy but not too much to piss me off.
