identifying wheel offsets

I am about to purchase some new wheels, but am not clear on which offset that I want to go with and am hoping you all can help identify the offsets in some member photos. I am either going to purchase 17x9 KMC HOSS' or 17x9 KMC ADDICTS. They both come with either a +18mm offset or -12mm offset.
Here are the HOSS wheels. Do these look like they have a +18mm offset or a -12mm offset?

... and the ADDICTS:

I appreciate your help on this. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

They look like -12 offset to me.

Without actually putting a ruler to them, looking at pics is just a wild guess.
But very few (if any) 4WD vehicles would have a + (positive) offset, AFAIK.
