Icon 2.5 piggy back-oilly in the shipping box

So long story short I picked up some 2.5 piggyback rears I went to install them and the shock body was all oily? I opened the box when it got delivered they where clean and dry.

I,m not crazy right, these should not have oil leak out on them. Both shocks are that way.

It all depends. When I received my Fox's they were all oily, I called Fox and they sent replacements. Call icon and ask them.

Yeah closed today, sad thing this is my 3rd attempt to use icons, first 2.0's where squeakers, they sent another and same thing happened, so now I paid a small difference for the upgrade to 2.5's and now this.

Odd thing is that when I opened the box because I wanted to see them they where clean and dry, days laterp to go install they are oily.

I had this issue with my OLW when I got them, turned out to be just the assembly lube they used, wiped them down and haven't had a leak since. So that may be the issue, I'd check with Icon to be sure.

Yeah, I'm sorry... I'd double check just for sure. A lot of components like that tend to be oil coated when made/shipped. think like high quality machined parts or what not tend to have a light film when shipped/stored to prevent corrosion and such.
