Well I still like yours too. It is just dense enough without looking solid. This mesh was really easy to work with though and was very pliable with no penalty for mistakes and re shaping.

I don't think i've ever seen the 885s preloaded but maybe the extra weight will bring it down to the 884's level.

No real updates. The only "new" things i've done are trimming my mud flaps up front and blow out my driver side CV axle. The boot actually went out several months ago and haven't had the time to fix it yet. I'll probably go with CVJs when I replace it.

Also, I've been asked by a few members to post up more pictures of the OC IIs. So far I have around 4k miles on them and I like them a lot. They look great and are super quite on the road. With the 65k mileage warranty, i'm hoping they last a long time...or at least until I switch tires (jk...i hope). I don't really have any new/exciting pictures, just some that I never posted earlier. Anyway, on to the pictures....

In other news, I thought I may as well post up a few picture of my other ride while i'm in the mood. 2011 Spec Epic 29er, I love it. HUGE upgrade from my older 26" Hardtail with just enough travel to keep me out of trouble. Its a little more XC oriented than I originally wanted but it climbs amazing (which we have to do a lot of around here) and is relatively light. I've been spending more time/money on it lately than the 4runner. It's still a work-in-progress but so far i've upgraded the tires, handlebars, stem, and ditched the 3rd ring in favor of a bash guard. And yes, i'm still riding platform pedals which is sacrilege around here (again, mostly XC guys) but I like being able to bail quickly when needed. I'll go clip-less for any races but for my casual riding with jumps/cliffs/rocks, the platforms are fine.

AT the top of Blevins Gap...amazing view at the top. Definitely worth the hike/ride up.

I'm not sure how I've never seen your build thread and noticed the Level 8 wheels man, everything looks great! Looks like you mostly go w/o the center caps too. Looking good man.

Thanks man! I think its nearly finished. Famous last words for this site right. ha. Your rig is looking good as well.

One small update, I finally painted the grill surround black. It blends in much better but I think an exact paint match would be perfect.

Thanks Mike! It doesn't hold a candle to your truck and amazing mods but it does the job for now.

Great looking truck man! I remember when it was stock with the Dynapro ATM's on it in Nashville. You have done a great job on it. Next mods? Also that pic of you on the trails by the river/creek, where is that located?? They look like some fun easy trails. Let me know next time you are in Nashville.

Whats up man. Thanks...it has definately come a long way since then. I don't really have any major mods planned for it. I really need to install the headlights/projectors i've had for 6 months though. Other than that, MAYBE a roof rack.

The picture by the river was down here on Flint River, east of Huntsville around Hampton Cove. It has a decent area to play in with a few steep climbs but nothing too crazy. The trail does continue a little farther down along the river but it floods quickly and I'm not too fond of being that close to the water anway.

Wow man, those look amazing. Did you make them yourself? Have any pics installed? Also, details on the mod if you did make them yourself?

Thanks!

Thanks. I did just paint them myself. I bought a used OEM set off Ebay and did the usual baking method to disassemble. And I have yet to actually install them or my retro HID kit. I'm considering selling them now but not sure yet.
