Long tube headers

Hi there. I was curious if anyone can tell me if the 2002ish tundra Long Tube headers are a direct bolt on to our 4.7 V8s? I have seen it on here some videos and such, but there really isnt any good supporting conversations on it. I do not want to go with shorties yet. Do I need to put in a body lift to clear the steering arm? I did read that was an issue for one gentleman.

Please keep the comments "to search" to a minimum because I have and have not found a lot, but some.

Thank you in advance.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one running them. They bolt up to the block fine on both sides. A new Y-Pipe will be required for the flanges to line up. My steering still rubs slightly, I need to address this eventually. The dip stick also needed to be re-routed. I don't think a BL will help the clearance on the steering, the header just needs to be pounded out of the way.

SO you are just planning on beating/caving in one header tube to achieve the clearance for the steering? How did you relocate the dip stick tube? Just bend that also? I am not worried at all about building new pipes at all. My father has a muffler shop still a few hours away, so I will probably just head there to do it. Did you mileage go up much when not enjoying the sound of the exhaust?

If your planning on putting headers on to improve mpgs, don't bother.

Yeah they just zip tied the dip stick out of the way. I'm just gonna take a rounded piece of wood and massage the header in around the area. As far as mileage I do get it on it pretty frequently but I don't really think my mileage changed up or down. Though to be honest I don't calculate it. They take a bit of work to make them work but they're worth it 100%.

Also I'd plan a whole weekend around the ordeal. My truck was at the exhaust shop for a couple days.
