milky coating on headlight lense

How do you get that coating off your headlight lenses? I tried the cheap chemical rub and it didn'tdo anything. I heard you have to buff it off...
***Bye the way- These are "PLASTIC" headlamp enclosures on a 2005 SR5 4WD. I tried Colgate last weekend while camping and it seemed to help (at least less cavities!). I will re-apply and see how it goes. I previously tried Turtle -Wax 3 or 4 pad kit for $9 and it didn't do a thing. Thanks for the rec's!...

How about trying a headlight restoration kit? Although, I can't remember if the 4th gen uses plastic or a glass lense ?

the two resto kits named specifically, both easy to get at Autozone/ (insert auto parts shop here) ?

Mine decided to freak out on me over a 3-day period, and now the top half of both are translucent and not transparent.

Wet sand with 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper then finish up with one of the resto kits. This worked wonders on my Mustang when I had tried everything else.

Almost any off the shelf restoration kit will work, look for the ones that come with a sealant as this is the most important step to prevent them from milking up quickly again.

Find a kit that has a UV spray.....10 min of sanding by hand, no buffing with those store bran kits......and spray.....leave in direct sunlight and it looks 10x better than any name brand kit.

International Distribution - Windshield Repair Kits - Glass Scratch Removal Kits - Headlight Restoration Kits - GlasWeld
