Need a 3rd row - Buy sell trade keep?

I'm in a predicament. Have a 2008 Sport with 84K mi. we love with no third row seating. Owe 3 more years on the note - basically paying all principle now.

The used market is not as good as when it was purchased. And the 5th gen is overpriced. So what are my options to gain that seating?

Install an aftermarket seat.

Or

Suck it up and buy a Sequoia? Tahoe? Dang. Those are pricey.

I'm stuck and wondering if I am missing an option. What would you do?

If you need a third row seat for full-time use, then save yourself a headache and buy a minivan. The third row seat in SUVs, even the larger ones like a Land Cruiser and Sequoia are a real PIA to get in and out of. I've owed Land Cruisers for the past 10 years, many of which had third row seats (80 and 100 series) and they were a pain to get in an out of and not very comfortable.

Needless to say we now own a 2008 Honda Odyssey and about a week ago I traded my 2001 100 series LC for a 2006 4Runner SR5.

Mom - won't do the minivan. I agree that they are very practical. The 3rd row will be for little ones and used mostly on occasional road trips.

I couldn't agree more! He's 110% right. I have third row seating and it's terrible if you need it often. I have three children and it's truly not suitable for any age. The leg room is not there. Not even for a 2-3 year old in a front facing car seat.
Plus trying to get back there to buckle and unbuckle is a PIA!
I didn't buy mine for the 3rd row seating, just happened to come with it and I've used it when I truly am desperate for more seating.
I'm the same way though. I don't do a swagerwagon. Just not happening. We bought a Sienna anyways, more for often weekend trips and for the Great Dane.

I'd be more than happy to take pictures with children in them, if you need. You'll truly be sorry if you waste money on it.
