Hey a Pittsburgh member.
To answer your question, the non-JBL models which the SR5 is has 6 speakers. 6.5" in the rear doors, 6x9" in the front doors, and a .75" dome tweeter also in the front doors.
The JBL models have 10 speakers, which is the ones listed above, as well as tweeters in the rear where our mirrors are, a subwoofer, and a center channel tweeter. Those speakers are also amped where the non-JBL speakers are not.
I have a set of 6.5"s and 6x9" Alpine Type-S's, and a set of Audiobahn 1" dome tweeters that I'm looking to sell, which are great factory replacements. Let me know if you would be interested since i'm local.

On another note ,
How do you tell if you have a system that's a jbl ?
Will all the speaker grills have a emblem ?

The other 2 should be in the 'D' pillars in the cargo area near the headliner.

I believe the factory head unit (w/out navi) should indicate "JBL Synthesis" on there somewhere. The navi's should also show "JBL" on them somewhere. Also, I think the main four door speakers have the black JBL emblem on them.
Mine is an '06 Limited and I have two front door speakers/tweeters, two for the rear doors, two in the rear d-pillars by the rear hatch, a center channel on the dash, and the factory sub.
My next project is to replace the OEM head unit with an aftermarket Navi and add a backup camera. I may keep the factory speakers since they don't sound too bad but replace the sub with another 8" Kicker or JL.

They're at the very back of the car - look to the left and right of the rear window. In those pillars that go up to the roof - they should be towards the top. Little tweeters.

Nope , there not there
I did pry off the two corner mirrors on each corner ,
Looks like there would be room for two small speakers ...
I even seen a little wiring clip ...?
Like a harness ..
I'm guessing that would be where to connect the speakers right ?
If so , I could get them off of eBay or even toyota couldn't I ?

@ willfish
, do you have factory NAV? if so, the D-pillar speakers will not be there, but rather the mirrors. even though it may be equipped with JBL, the factory nav omits the d pillar speakers

Yea ,
I have the factory nav
Yea , there's the two mirrors in the upper rear of the far back
I was just assuming then if I take them off seeing the wiring harness clip that I could buy and put in the factory speakers for there ...
I can't. ?
Thank u all for the info in advance.

Not all jbl systems have the cargo speakers. I think the nav jbl only comes with 8. I don't have them in mine. From what I have seen, when the speaker grill on the doors says jbl... Its 10 speakers and I don't think they come with nav units. And the my nav jbl only has 8 speakers and jbl is only on the unit and center speaker
