Question Turn Signal Lens Replacement

HAS ANYONE REPLACED THEIR FRONT TURN SIGNAL LENS FOR DRL WITH THE NON-DRL LENS???

After searching for a while I find myself still looking for my answer. Need to replace the front turn signal lens for both left and right sides. I have DRL and when searching for the lens I find non DRL and DRL lens. Whats the difference between the two besides the huge mark up in price?

Been blowing bulbs every couple months because of leaking lens. Upgrading to LEDs form superbrightleds.com and would like new lens. I just want to know what the difference is between the two lens for non-DRL and DRL.

Thanks

EDIT: The only thing I see is that the bulb seat has different connections for vehicles that must be equipped with the DRL relay. If the housing are the same then I can go without having to buy the extra connectors for the bulbs.

Difference in the connectors

With DRL

Without DRL

Still haven't found if there is a difference in the lens housing or where the connector goes in is different.

Not sure if I completely understand your question. But, does your truck HAVE DRLs?? If so, just head over to Partznet. The part I picked up I think cost $24 for each and I have DRLs. I thought all 03-05 runners front turn signals doubled as DRLs?

Yes mine does have the DRL. The question is that the lens housing for both DRL and NON-DRL look the same. I know that both come with the bulb socket connector from where ever you buy them. So is the only difference that the bulb connectors are different not the housings? If that's so then we could just spend less to get the NON-DRLs and just use the DRL bulb socket that is already on the truck. Does the bulb socket snap into the housing listed as NON-DRL?

My guess is that it should. Wouldn't make sense if Toyota made two types of sockets (whole lens assembly) for a bulb that is used in both non and with DRLs. Even if the truck doesn't have DRLs, it's still the same bulb type.

Yeah I believe so also. Just wanted to get some more information on the matter before I try and save a few dollars by getting the (listed) non-DRL lens. Cause the price for just the (listed) DRL lens is twice the price at most places.

Need more information on front turn signal assemblies and bulbs for '05 SR5

I thought I had DRL, but when installing new front turn signal housings and LEDs today, I found that the new housing's bulb connector is larger than the old one, so I assume I do not have DRL.
I am having difficulty finding passenger and driver side front turn signal housings whose connectors are not for DRL bulbs.
Is there an adapter that will permit the connection between the old and new connectors so that I can use the new housings and LEDs I just purchased?

Here is the connector on the new housing.
