Battery Question

So the last couple weeks when I've started the truck, often times it would click several times and not start at first, and when it would start the back window wiper would flip once. Then today, the battery I believe is completely dead. No electric anything works. Are all these issues connected to the dying battery? That's what I assumed. Or are they separate issues? Thanks a bunch!

Strange rear wiper issue mentions the rear wiper coming on when you start up is a sign the battery is going out soon.
I am still on my original Panasonic with my '06 98k and know it is just around the corner time to replace.
Man I wished you could buy another Panasonic what a long lasting battery!

Also, EGG SMELL. The last few days the smell of eggs pouring out of that engine has been unbelievable! What is the cause of that?

Sulfur smell could be the battery off-gassing as sulfuric acid is used in lead-acid batteries. The rear wiper thing is one of those odd mysteries that has never been explained by Toyota ; I don't know if some engineer designed it that way, or if the module is just more sensitive to low voltage than others, but its been a fairly reliable indicator of a failing battery.

Druss, Those Panasonic batteries are pretty cool; the majority of them seem to have been an AGM design, so I assume any good AGM brand battery should be fairly comparable.
