Gauge backlight issue
Tonight was the first time driving it since the big service with the CDL replacement. I use the auto headlight feature and the headlights turned on but the backlight behind my gauges and the controls didnt. It was still somewhat light out so i thought maybe the lights hadnt turned on. Until i realized the headlights were on so why wasnt my backlight working?
Is there a fuse i can check? Maybe something blew when he did the service? Any help? If not im bringing it back Friday when they open and ask them to look at it.

If the dimmer switch blew, it would cause this. So if all your fuses are okay, I would look into that.

ill check it all tomorrow, its dark and still 100* out. Way too hot to be out and fighting with a fuse. I hope its a simple fuse.
If its not the fuse im going to take it to the dealer just to try to get the dimmer switch replaced no charge as it worked before he replaced the actuator.
I know it has nothing to do with it but it worked fine until then.

Nothing has back light. I went out and checked, TAILS fuse was blown and i replaced and it still doesnt work. Also checked dome as well. Others were fine. Dimmer switch works to turn up/down the brightness of the pointers.

ok checked things this morning. Its definitely my tail light fuse. Whenever i turn on the headlights it blows out. I went through about ten fuses to test as i unplugged the tails, heads, high, low, parking lights, fog lights. Whenever the headlight switch turns over from OFF, it instantly blows the tail fuse.
So what now?

It's probably that whole switch that's bad, it might be worth replacing that and seeing if that solves it. I think it's about $70 IIRC?

thats what i was thinking. I wonder if its even worth it to take to the dealer and have them look or just order and replace the switch myself.
$93 from rock auto for the Auto w/ fog switch. Crap.
