Hello/Airlift Airbag Question

Hey all. I've been hanging around here for a while, and this is my first thread start. Hopefully I did enough searching ahead of time, but I wasn't able to find the answer to this question. I'm a bit stuck with regards to my lift plans and could use a couple pointers in the right direction.

First, some background. I have an '05 v8 4WD that I use as a family vehicle for toting around my 3 month old (I'm kinda a stay-at-home/work-from-home dad), wheeling with a Jeep/Land Cruiser group on weekends, and towing my trailer to Pismo or Glamis when our friends take their RZRs out. I'm in the process of installing an Icon remote resi coilover + MetalTech long travel rear setup (MetalTech service is second to none by the way!!) as an upgrade from an OME setup.

Anyway, now to the question... For use when towing, I got some Airlift 1000 springs from a member here for a great price, and he said that they were meant to be used with 2" lift springs. My problem is, they aren't easy enough to remove from my MT LT rear coils for the 95% of the time that I'm not towing, but I learned from running OME 895s that the tongue weight of my trailer is too heavy for coils without airbags (guesstimate around 500lbs). So I was wondering what would happen if I installed the 2" lift airbags into the stock coils, and used that combo for towing. Would this work at all? Would it be able to lift the truck up 2" to match the front? Does anyone else have any other ideas? The only other option I could think of was to buy some separate coils and install the airbags in them for use when towing, but if I was doing that, I think I would just buy some OME 897s and sell the airbags. I appreciate all advice anyone can offer. Thanks!

Oh, and since people like pictures, here's my truck with the OME setup on it. (I like orange....)

Why not just leave the bags in there all the time?

Also, I don't think you'll get 2" of lift from the bags + stock coils. The bags are only rated for 25-30 psi max.

The Timbren Kit looks pretty nice, but it seems pretty expensive compared to just getting some other springs.

The reason I can't leave the bags in the MetalTech long travel springs is I'm worried they'll get shredded if I do any real flexing in the rear.

I might just get a set of AllPro's to put the bags in... This seems like the best, fairly inexpensive solution...

Look in to a weight distributing hitch, it's amazing how much of a difference they make. I use one and it removes the rear sag when set correctly.
