!!Doug Thorley Headers 4.7L V8!!

I just got off the phone with Mike @ Doug Thorley. I was told if I can gather 5-10 people who would be interested in purchasing these at $600.00 a set, they will start development.
If the price ends up being less, they will cost less for everyone, but for a run of 20 we would have to commit to 600.00
I've been noticing the exhaust leaks on OEM headers are kinda normal, so I'm hoping there are some of you out there that would be eager to jump on this wagon.
If your on board, either leave a reply and or shoot me a PM with your email and or a phone number.
I will compile the list of eager beavers and forward them to Mike.

If you don't want to use me as a conduit, call Mike and let him know directly.
951.273.3605
Either way I hope you guys are as excited to get this going as I am.

As long as they are compatible with the VVTi V8, put me down for a pair.

Can you confirm that they would fit the vvti V8s?

Not sure if this is relevant or not but, the last time I tried something similar this with DT was for jeep 5.2l headers. got people together. was told they where going to make some. then it was couple weeks, then another couple weeks. finally 8 months later I got my money back.

Guess what i'm trying to say is if you want DT headers at least be prepared to wait awhile.

What about the O2 sensors pre and post cat? Is this going to make the ECU go nuts? Are people going to have to get the rest of the exhaust system pre-muffler replaced too so it'll meet up with the headers? I can just see this getting a lot more expensive than the Pacesetter replacements for just a small amount of extra power.

For the O2 sensors, you need an O2 sim for the post-cat sensors since they are there to detect the presence (or lack of) a catalytic converter. Those can be had anywhere (or made from Radio Shack parts if you know what you are doing). The pre-cat O2 sensor determines AFR and won't be affected at all.

Honestly I don't know about the specifics of how they would work. I'm going to forward this page on to Mike and take him at his word. It looks like there are at least 5 people interested, pending compatibility.
We'll see what happens.

I'd love a set, hopefully they're stainless for that price and LT's.

Also do Tundra headers fit without mods? I was thinking about a set of JBA Cat4Ward shorties, since I remember a guy on youtube put some on a V8 T4R.

Sorry I haven't responded recently. I'll get back on this and see what the scoop is with them over there.
