Has anyone gotten their upholstery redone? Or heard anything about this Alcantara stuff?

I got "port installed" (really aftermarket) leather installed on my 06 SR5 by the dealer. I have a warranty card with the brand name on it, but I don't recall off hand. Basically you can't tell the seats aren't factory - I am extremely happy as this approach due to the money saved getting an SR5 instead of a Limited.

I bought an 02 SR5 with aftermarket leather and it looks great! The only problem is that the owner before me had a tv in one of the headrests and took the whole headrest. Now the dealer cant find a matching leather to give me another headrest. I have no clue where to find one and the dealer is stumped too!

I had the dealer farm out my 05 SE to a local leather shop that did all of the dealers leather installs. My 05 only came with cloth and the leather they insalled was awesome. It is a dark charcoal color so it matches the SE dark cloth color which matches the door panels and other accesories. I though i was just going to get the gray color used in the limiteds but i was wrong and happy about it. I have found that my aftermarket leather is nicer (my opinion) than that of my friends 04 limited. So shop around, and if you do get leather make sure you condition it on a regualr basis.
