VSC TRAC light on, traction control issues? Skips in acceleration

Hi- I would appreciate any advice or info if anyone has had similar issues with their traction control.

I have a 2004 V8 4runner. I will start by saying, in my two years with the car, I haven't had one single issue with the car. Zero.

I know what traction control does and when it kicks on normally. This is something else entirely. I drove with my air pressure light on for a while because I had a nail in my tire, so I thought that might have something to do with it. I finally got all new tires and the air pressure light is gone- my tires are perfect. So everything seems fine, until about 10 minutes of driving, I will first feel a skip in the acceleration. This is scary because I have not been able to speed up a few times, it's like it stalls out. I know we've all felt that before when the traction control is trying to correct your tires... but this happens when I am going straight on a well-paved road. One time is started to beep really loud and go off and on a few times, until it eventually turns off and shows what is in my picture.

Even when I get in the car and turn my tractional control off, it will still happen to me eventually, both lights will light up and I experience the skip in acceleration first.

I'm hoping this is an easy fix. What is the most likely culprit? I even tried to tell the shop, but of course it doesn't appear when the car is first started so he didn't understand. I'm sorry if this is a broad issue that is hard to diagnose without looking at the car, but I'm hoping someone can relate. I feel like if I go get the computer tested, it'll just tell me there is a trac control problem and not the exact cause.

When was the last time the Zero Point Calibration was done? It sounds like it was reset (this could have happened if you replaced the battery and/or allowed the vehicle to drop below about 12.0volts. If you Search "Zero Point Calibration" there's a couple threads on how to do this.

Thanks a lot... I just looked at the first page and an almost identical post was up. Sorry for not checking it out first, could have saved my breath! I also had to replace my battery a couple months ago as well... so hopefully this is what I need. Thanks.
