I was talking to my brother in law about that when we were installing the lift. It's definitely on my "to-do".

If you were any kind of close I'd say stop by and we'd have it done in less than 3 hours. I've done it so many times on a 4th gen now it's second nature. The hardest part for me is waiting for the paint to dry in between coats.

Gobi

Finally, after 20 weeks, my GOBI Stealth Rack came in.

I haven't updated this thread in a while and my 4R has definitely changed since my last post. I'll update with pics after the weekend.

Oh you mean the poor mans BFGs?

I love them. They are surprisingly quiet and smooth. I've got about 20k miles on them and they still have a ton of tread.

GOBI Rack Installed

Installed the rack this weekend. It was a pretty straight forward install.. The instructions were detailed and this forum (plus a few YouTube videos) were helpful! Sorry the darker pictures -- I plan on posting new pictures when time permits.

Now I just have to figure out which light bar to get ...

nice build buddy!

following your build! Nice work buddy. I posted a couple questions for you on an OME thread, if you don't mind answering them whenever you get a few minutes . I didn't see your build when I posted it so bear that in mind. Having said that, just wondering how you're liking the suspension setup now with the 285's? Anything you would have changed? Still no diff drop? have you torn all your cv boots yet? I don't think I'll be doing the diff drop either but plan on replacing with stronger booted CVJ axles when mine fully crap out.

Also I noticed you had mentioned wanting to go with a demello bumper? I just bought one and installed it myself a few weeks ago. I can take as many photos as you might want and answer any questions you have. It's a super well constructed bumper and I have absolutely no regrets at all!

Cheers buddy, and thanks for your help!
Will from Fernie, BC

CBI Bumper

My CBI bumper came in today. I'm installing it next week with a Warn VR8000 winch and some PIAA 510s.

CBI Bumper

Installed the bumper, PIAA 510s and Warn VR8000 winch. I love it and my 4R rides so much smoother. I went with the 885 springs when I got my lift and the additional weight of the bumper really increases the ride quality.

Really like the build. I just ordered the same bumper yesterday and was wondering how the PIAA lights mounted in there. Did you have to do any drilling or was it ready for the lights when you got it?

Sorry for the late response. No drilling required, lights mounted right in!

Post pics once you’ve installed it! I’ve had the bumper for about 5 months and it is my favorite modification so far. It completely changes the look of a 4R!

I got the winch from CBI as well and I think it was around $1600 shipped.
