Bull Bars

Thinking of getting a bull bar for my 4runner. Anyone installed them and have pictures? I have a blue 05 limited. Thinking of a black bar?

How exactly do they mount to the frame? If they do not mount in the front of the frame where the existing metal bumper is how is it mounted?

Shrockworks calls these damage multipliers but take that with a grain of salt as they sell bumpers.

Can you safely push a car or take a 5-10mph hit without damage?

They look great!

Most of the ones I have seen don't mount securely enough for my liking and are "damage multipliers" even the good ones seem to have large adjustment slots that don't think will stand up to a hard impact. But a good quality one will probably push a car in neutral with no buckling.

Everyone I have seen will crumple upon impact with another car.

Had 1 on my taco bolts up to wear tow hooks mount , saved me some serious damage to my radiator when an illegal gentleman stopped outta the blue & I wasn't expecting it , had to loosen up my bumper bolts to sorta fix bumper to level . But ya anything over 30-35 gonna smash up good !

It took me 30 - 45 minutes to install. It's really a two person job because it's kinda heavy and it helps if another person is present to hold the thing up while you screw in the bolts.
