I trimmed a good amount. It is rubbing on the bottom right hand corner of the wheel well, on the painted surface. I am not too keen on cutting it.

I know. All of the underpinnings are kind of ugly. I am thinking about putting the stock running boards back on until I can afford some Demello or CBI sliders. I definitely decided on a CBI front bumper because they are offering it with winch for like $900. That would take care of my rubbing issues.

Just finished the hydrocarbon filter delete mod. I also disconnected the battery for 15 minutes to reset the ECU. Looking forward to an increase in horsepower and better mpg's!

Yep, I have roughly 4" in the front and 5" in the rear (over stock) and I still had a ton of rubbing. I cut 3" off the inner-side of the fender, in 45 deg angle, and I moved the entire liner forward about 4" using all the factory hardware. It actually looks like it should have come from the factory!
These are 285-75-16 M/T's and now I have almost 3" of lock-to-lock clearance between the tire and the fender. I also performed the body-mount chop the same day, because I know that would have been the next issue.

Nice. Mine was catching right on the corner edge where the liner meets the painted fender.

I know you said that you're not very fond of cutting the actual fendor, but your options are fairly limited if you want rid if the rubbing - unless you go with some armor up front. I used a belt sander to cut down the fenders and it literally took like 5 minutes/side. Start hacking away, man!

Did you cut your fender? Doesn't look like it from the picture. I could care less about the wheel liners, but I find cutting the actual fender a tad unsettling. I will end up with a new front bumper eventually and will reinstall the spidertrax then.

I sure did... I jacked-up the front of the truck, removed both front wheels and took the belt sander to both front fenders.
If you look at where the fender starts pointing forward (toward the nose of the truck), you can see the 45 deg angle I cut into the fender. The 45 deg cut removed almost 3" of the inner-most part of the fender. I kept the entire "cut" completely inside the wheel-well, so there wouldn't be that much of the modification exposed on the outward appearance of the truck. If you put two 4Runners side by side, the cut is very obvious - but it's clean enough to the unsuspecting eye that "they" would never know I modded the inside of the fenders.
Then I re-drilled all new holes 4" closer to front of the nose, so I could relocated all entire liner 4" closer to the nose of the truck. You can see from the pic how it's recessed another inch closer towards the front of the truck. Like I said, I prob had like 5 minutes of labor on both sides to complete this mod - and it was well worth the effort!
And I opted to use a sander, just so I could watch how much fender I was removing throughout the entire process.

After 35 days on back order, look what finally showed up on my doorstep. Can hardly wait until this weekend to put them on!

Today I added EBC Greenstuff Light Truck/SUV brake pads all the way around. The bed in process isn't complete and I already noticed a huge difference in stopping power.
You can see that the OEM pads were pretty well worn.

After much contemplation I think I finally know how I want to complete my suspension setup. I am thinking of going the Prerunner route with 4" Maxtrac lift spindles, Radflo coilovers, Radflo extended travel shocks in the rear with All Pro 3.5" lift springs. The coilovers should give me the ability to lift/lower the front end to be level with the rear. To add a little extra lift I am going to ditch the 33's and step up to some 35's. Will Probably go with Nitto Mud Grapplers because I am so happy with the way the Terra Grapplers perform, but I want a more aggressive look. I also like the Toyos.
