Looks great! I was under the impression that you've got a 4WD, but now that I look closer, it looks like a 2WD. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Got some Dually D2's wired up yesterday on CBI ditch brackets. They are in a driving pattern. All told it was a pretty expensive little mod, but Rigids are worth every penny IMO. These suckers are bright! The blue-ish hue from my 8k HID low beams are completely washed away by glorious white light whenever I turn these bad boys on.
I used an OTTRAW switch and put it in the center console. Since I had the console pulled apart I also installed switches for a light bar and reverse lights (future mods to be installed once I get a roof rack). All three switches are installed where the factory seat heaters switches would normally be. Being an SR5 no switches were there, so now at least the space is being used for some functional purpose and they look awesome to boot.
I know that most can't justify spending nearly $400 for the D2's, but trust me they're definitely worthy of the spend. I can only imagine the extreme white out that a full 40" Rigid light bar might create.

A fresh set of Denso spark plugs makes a world of difference. The originals had 117,500 miles on them. Right off the bat I noticed an increase in power, I can spin my 33's all the way through first gear Definitely couldn't do that before . I can't wait to see how much my gas mileage improves. Right now I am averaging just under 17 mugs.

Sounds like the mileage may be getting worse. ;-). I need to look into changing mine I suppose. The picture you show illustrates the difference in gap from the years of miles of usage. There must be some efficiency gained by swapping them out. Although mine still purs like a kitten with 144k on the clock, assuming on the original set.

Had a fun weekend out at Bull Lake Wildlife Preserve. Lots of puddles to splash around in!

New brakes!
It's been a while since Old Grey received any noteworthy upgrades. After roughly 30,000 miles of mixed city/highway driving, the EBC green stuff pads were toast. With about 130,000 on the odometer now I figured it was also time for new rotors and some fresh brake fluid. For the fronts I decided to go with PowerStop cross-drilled and slotted rotors and they came with ceramic pads. In. the the rear I decided to keep it simple and went with a pair of rotors from O'Reillys with ceramic pads. I am really hoping that the ceramics dust less than my EBC pads. I am pretty tired of my rims constantly being dirty.
During the install I noticed that the front passenger caliper was frozen, just one of the four pistons refused to budge. I know this is a common issue with our trucks, but it was still frustrating nonetheless 😡
Initial impressions are not great. For some reason I am getting a lot of vibration in the steering wheel whenever I brake around 30mph. I double checked to make sure that all bolts are nice and tight, including the Spidertrax and lug nuts. I have no idea what is causing the vibration.
Anyhow, here is a pic of the finished product.

Camping in Kissimme Prarie Reserve State Park
The Mrs. bought me a new tent and other camping goodies for Christmas, so I decided to take my little one camping this weekend! Tomorrow we're going to wake up and do some bass fishing. Then, maybe some light wheeling on our way out of the park. While we were coming in today I saw some side by sides running through some neat little trails. I think we will join in on the fun

The limitations of 2wd
I got stuck this afternoon for the first time ever! I was going down a trail close to my house that I had been down a hundred times before. Lots of high grass, tight trees, but usually pretty dry. I forgot that it had rained here pretty bad last week and well...you can see from the picture how things turned out. Luckily, I have a buddy close by with a lifted 4wd F-250 and he was able to give me a tug. Added a little extra adventure to my weekend.
