JBL owners, did the install, went fairly smooth but I知 experiencing the volume fluctuation issues. I知 using the metra TYTO. Did anybody use an LOC, or is there a requirement to turn the volume up on the old system before installation of the new HU? My understanding is that was an issue on The PAC but not Metra.
Also, I have the new scion HU, and I also have a NAV module. I had the exact same setup on a non-JBL non-nav 4Runner and had zero issues with the nav, but on my non-nav JBL 4runner the nav just seems confused. The nav follows in general areas but is never pointing the right direction or on the actual road I知 on. It just lags into the general area.
Any ideas?

Just picked up a PT546-00140 for pretty cheap and I'm gathering up the harnesses to hook it up. Does anyone know if this is the Y adapter for the duel antenna (HD radio)?
UPDATEThis is the Y adapter and you also need a end conversion link below also.

I can tell you that newer Nav modules don't work with the older pt546-00160/t10015 radio. The harness is incompatible with the newer radios. You can see here,
Additionally, the GPS connector is different. On the 6.1 radios, the GPS connector is square.
From what I can tell, my nav module (pt296-00170) only gives me nav. The only app I see is gracenote, but in the nav there's a pandora icon, but I haven't really played around with it. I was also under the impression that 'bespoke' is Scions 'entune'.

This tread still alive? What wire harness do i need to use this radio on my 07 tr4 ? I just found a PT546-00170 it looks like i will need also the 296-00179 for nav! Thanks

Scion pt546-00140 into JBL 03 limited
BUMP:::
OK so I've read about 400 posts in this and other threads here and there seems to be conflicting info on putting this Scion radio into a stock JBL 10 speaker system and having it work..So I ask...
Could anyone please put up a list of the harnesses I will need and maybe some pics of the back of the 00140 plugged into this years 4Runner Harneses, ready to work as expected?? Looking forward to all the new stuff this HU offers, especially the rear camera install.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Another side question is what trim surrounds are folks using for the JBL equipped vehicle? I mean, you can skip on the surround but the gap is rather prominent!

T10015 Install
I know this thread is a few years old but If by chance a member who installed this unit is able to respond, I would appreciate this. I am preparing to install a T10015 in a non-jbl Sr5.
In regards to the Metra connectors, are these needed for a non-jbl or just a JBL system? If they are needed for a non-jbl, what is the order of the connection to the harness?
I've seen the screen shots of the back of the stereo with labeling, but I have not found where the bluetooth adapter connects too?
thanks.

Ok, I think i figured this out. The 40-GM10 converts the smaller stock attenna plug to a regular size plug. I am wondering if using the Scosche Mda-B would provide the same result. Oh well, i guess I will figure it out.

I picked up a 2007 FJ Cruiser. It is the base model with a very basic radio. While looking through some boxes in the garage I found two scion headunits. they look the same, but have different model numbers. One is a T1819 and the other is T10004. The T1819 shows a Feb. 2012 manufacture date and the T10004 shows a September 2012 manufacture date.
We used a T1819 in one of our 2003 4Runners. It worked great, for what it was.
Does anyone know if these will work in the FJ Cruiser? If so, what is needed. As I recall, the swap required a few new harnesses for the antenna and a mic for the phone function.
Thanks

I did the swap with a 2016 Toyota version of the Scion touchscreen. I love the new headunit. I am having a glitch with the Aux in. When using it, the sound is very distant and garbled. Any ideas. thanks Phil

I just bought a super clean 2007 Limited with the JBL system. Sound quality is ok for me but the lack of Nav and Backup camera are a huge bummer. It seems the choices of head units that will work with the JBL is very limited. Has anyone found a Scion radio that will work with the 07 JBL system? I have also considered getting a mirror with dash cam and backup cam and using my phone for Nav but in 2021 there must be other choices to get what I would like? Thanks
NCH

Does anyone know if there is an amp plug and play t-harness for the T10015 stereo? I did the stereo conversion but now want to add a 5 channel amp and sub with minimal splicing and rigging.
