Cool/Fun/Easy/Cheap Mods

Hey all,

Purchased my first T4R in December and haven't done much to it. Looking for a ski/snowboard roof rack currently, but I'm saving up some money for that.

Tinting the driver and passenger side windows is on the radar, but I'm having trouble thinking of some other small things I could do for now (it's winter in New England, tough to do any major mods.

Also a side question: every once in awhile I'll smell a sweet almost candy-like smell in the car. It's not often, but I've noticed it every once in awhile since I bought it.

Any feedback would be phenomenal. Thanks guys.

No idea on the smells, but check the Stickies. Easy weekend mods and Prepurchase info are your friends!

Sweet smell usually means anti-freeze. Check the radiator level.

As for window tenting...Hope you don't live in NH or VT...No tint can be applied to the front side windows. I think only MA can allow much tinting.

Thanks Mike, MA here. I think 35% is the legal limit for front sides.

If you still have the running boards on, pulling them off is easy and free.

For just a couple of bucks you can do the "always on" mod for the 12v power outlets. Since I run a refrigerator when I travel, this was a great mod for me.
