Black Plasti-Dip Emblems on a Black 4Runner

I was thinking about Plasti-Dipping my emblems on my black 4Runner but I am unsure of the final outcome and I've been trying to Google some pictures but came up empty on pics of the black on black. Anyone know of any pictures of this setup or have a better idea?

Just do it, if you don't like the way it looks you can always peel it off.
I did mine and I like the way it looks, but my runner is green.

I personally like the stealth look. I'm contemplating going gunmetal grey rims and emblems now though and was looking to see if anyone had that look on here.

I am thinking of doing the same thing. I already have the grey wheels.

I'll take a couple pictures tomorrow, though it's dirty and snowy right now.

I've plasti dipped the front and rear bumper fascia (The silver pieces) as well as the tail gate trim, the grill, and the emblems. All are black, but the emblems are red. Originally, I was going to keep the chrome emblems, but I chanced it with the red, and was happy with the outcome. (all on a white 4r, btw) I see you said you did it, but to future people, just do it. Don't like it? Get rid of it. It's ~$5/can

Are the silver pieces removable? Thinking about dipping mine.

The emblems? The front is clips on the grille, and the rear needs to be pried off. You can just spray around it and peel the excess though. (Masked off of course.)

edit: Wow, I'm sorry, the fascia? Yes. The front bumper one is held on by 4 bolts IIRC, and the rear is bolted into the the bumper on the 03-05 models. You'll probably need to remove the whole rear bumper, but trust me, having had to remove the bumpers quite often, (not even running a rear right now lol) it's worth it just for the full spray coverage. After you remove the rear bumper, on the inside of it, at the seam between the outer pieces (white in your case) are 3 bolts on each side IIRC. If you don't want to remove the rear (the front isn't hard at all), just mask it off well, tailgate open, throw some trashbags up to cover the cargo space, the rest of the bumper, the tail lights, and above the tail lights. Really, just cover the entire rear end except for that piece of the bumper. It looked great on mine IMO, so I think you should DEFINITELY go for it.

Alright, thanks man! I've done the emblems and grille already, I just never really got around to looking at how to do the silver fascia on the bumpers. After having numerous suggestions to get rid of the silver, I guess it's time to break out the rattle cans of Plati-Dip again

Mine's grey not black, but I did plasti-dip the front silver piece in the grill including the Toy emblem... to match the black wheels, I like the way it turned out.
