Does this look like axle seal is leaking?

Ok I had another thread awhile back but here is the short summary. Removed the blown out XReas and had FJ Spring installed in the rear and all new adjustable Bilestien shocks installed on all 4 corners to level the truck out. I didn't get any kind of CV Boot leaking when I did the suspension work, only started after I upgraded my tires from 265-65-17 to 265-70-17. The day I put the new tires on I had some dripping from the bigger clamp on the boot, and it had since stopped. However today (a few weeks later) after a short drive I backed into a driveway that has a lean to it and noticed its leaking a bit more again. Below is a picture of the drivers side, and now I noticed the small gap by the axle seal. Does that look right, and if not could it be the axle that is leaking? Differential? There is no fluid by the gap, just coming from the big clamp on both sides of the truck. The passenger side has no gab by the axle seal at all so figured I would reach out to you guys. The fluid that is leaking is very watery, and doesn't have a really bad odor to it. I mention that because someone had stated that axle grease smells really bad. Someone else mentioned this could just be the grease bleeding a bit because of the different angles from the front getting leveled out combined with the warmer temps here is AZ. It went a few weeks without any more dripping but I am backed into a steeper driveway. And ideas?

OK thanks to my brother for getting under and taking a look, we confirmed the leak is coming from the fitting above the boot shown below. Can anyone here confirm that is what is left of the XReas? I believe so but would like to confirm so I can not worry anymore. Thanks in advance..

Looks like something is dripping on to the CV axle...doesn't look like it's leaking from the CV, though. I would clean the area and check back tomorrow. Not the axle seal on diff...just replaced one myself & it would be coming out where axle mates with diff.

I confirmed its from that fitting about the boot on my second response, just wanted to verify if that is indeed whats left of the XReas system....

Not sure what you mean by "Xreas system". The Xreas are the shocks. That is your CV axle.

Just looked at pics again...sorry for confusion... You're saying those open fittings (one of them?) is dripping something? Did they remove your brake lines?? I'd have to check under mine to see where those lead.

The XReas shocks are linked together with an hydralic type system. That fitting about the boot is the source of the leak on both sides. The fluid is leaking out of that fitting and dripping down the back of the boot and then coming off the bottom of the boot. So at first it appeared that it was the boot leaking but we have since confirmed where the fluid is coming from. I am 95% certain that is what is left of the Xreas system but waiting for someone here who knows for sure to confirm. So yes you are partially correct, yes Xreas are shocks but there is more to it then just shocks...

Why would one remove the XREAS shocks and then not remove all the hydraulic tubing... that's just pure laziness.

If you paid someone to do your lift (and it is indeed left behind xreas tubing that is leaking) you should go back and get a partial refund, that's crap. half the work, half the pay...

They didn't take it completley off because I choose to save a few extra bucks and do it myself once I heal up from my back surgery. Does that answer your question?

It does but now I have a new question... Why would you start this thread about a leak without first having someone inspect (since you can't due to back surgery) the source of the leak if you knew your xreas tubes were still installed on the vehicle with fluid in them? I mean... bueller, bueller anyone?...

I guess the real question is why do you have to come off like a prick? Buelller? Bueller? Anyone? Seriously, I submitted a post and little did I know my brother would stop by 5 minutes later, take a closer look and snap me a picture so I could post a follow up here to verify? If I was able to get down under my truck like I usually can, I would have started a thread strictly to ask if this was indeed the last of the XReas system that is leaking. Isn't that the idea of a forum? You post stuff to discuss and either you reply with some helpful information or you just move on to the next thread. There is no reason to come off like that, come on bro...

geese you took that pretty personal man...chill out a bit, eh.... I wasn't trying to be a prick, it's called sarcasm (if I was talking shit you'd know it)... lighten up a bit.

I think you're just a little hot because you helped yourself more than this forum helped you on this one.. You knew the answer, you just didn't take the time to think about the problem critically for 10 minutes before making a thread.

Hi my real name is Nathan (it's right next to every post I make) and I live in PA. Outside of having a selfie as my avatar , I'm not sure what else I can do to not appear as "hiding" on a forum... what do you want to be friends on facebook with me or something?...

LOL, all good "Nathan", I did problaby take it wrong so for that I apologize. Just been in a few forums where people try to start a bunch of shit all for just reaching out for some help. Yes when I first saw this leak I lost a night of sleep and now that it reappeared I was lucky enough for my brother to show up and dig in there a bit deeper and snap that picture for me. Really deep down I did know that is that XReas but I guess I was just looking for some reassurance. Anyways I do apologize and do appreciate your humble response. You must have caught my post before I edited the part about hiding behind the monitor....lol. Regardless I am usually quick to get under the truck but as you saw did have back surgery or I would have figured it out long before posting on here. Cheers!!
