The '09 Trail Editions 100% had a rear locker. None were ever available with a front locker, though.

Cool, didn't know that. Something to look for if you find an 09 in the wrecking yard then.

This is a great PSA. It's really just like our bodies. Use it or lose it (or get it operated on).

I'm actually looking at losing it. At least the electronically shifted version. Thinking of doing the swap to a twin-sticked FJ case.

It's an excuse to wheel once a month ... I don't see that as a bad thing when the wife asks why I want to go up to the hills.

👍 thanks you too!
Though I did see a story that it is now supposed to he more than that. Apparently they tested the air in the hallway outside closed doors of quarantined patients and the virus was there....stay safe people.
T-case already worked, we've had snow here in Denver the last 2 days...

Mine has a thunk also, but only if I'm putting stress on it at the time of the shift. To minimize this, I make sure that I am going in a straight line and not accelerating or decelerating, and let off the gas just as I make the shift. That's what I do on dry pavement… But off-road of course is a little bit different.

Tires are all new with less than 6000 miles, same type same size. Time for a rotation though.
I am planning to change out the fluids at 60,000 miles which is coming up shortly.

Mine finally worked today. Been trying since I got it in Feb. Went out on a long trip up some FSR all in 4hi and center diff lock when needed. They work no prob. Tried 4lo a few times on the trip but we didn't really need it and it was long.
Day after I went around flipping in and out at stops and while I was in a car wash but nothing.
Today I just drove to the gas station for chips and on the way back tried it while stopped going up a small hill. Flipped the switch rolled a little bit and the light stopped flashing for the first time ever. I screamed in my car I think the guy mowing the lawn thinks I'm pshyco.
2003 v6 sport 260000 km
Bought it at around 254 and was not ever used by owner. Lifetime in PNW
Very excited obviously

Been about eight months since I've been anywhere near an area where I could get my tires into some dirt so other than using 4hi in my V6 I haven't really exercised my t-case in a while, that is up until yesterday when I got to hear that satisfying clunk dropping in to 4lo and bouncing around some clay and limestone boulders here in middle Tennessee. One advantage working in construction, lots of off-road time before the site gets paved as well as an occasional chance to do some roosting when noone else is around.
