Rattle noise from underneath...

At first it happend when I was in reverse while applying the brakes.

no biggie... now it happens when I am in Drive when I apply the brakes.

The rattle sounds like metal vibrating on metal.

checked all bolts that I have taken out. (splash/skid plate) all tight...

any suggestions ?

Heat shields on your exhaust? Something stuck underneath (Have you looked)? Brake dust shield behind the discs? Loose rocks trapped in skid plate?

I don't see why it can't happen. Rocks get kicked up and may get lodged in there. I had a rock that got stuck behind the hub cap in my old car and it annoyed the crap out of me. I didn't find it until I needed to rotate the tires!!
