Addicted Offroad's new 120 chassis bumper
Okay, so here we go. We built a new winch bumper for the FJ Cruiser today. This is still in R&D, but what it means is that a 4th gen 4runner is right around the corner. I have a couple 4th gens that I plan to use for mock up soon. And, if the frame mounting is the same or even similar to the FJ, then this will be a reality pretty soon.
Pre-Ordering info is up now: http://www.addictedoffroad.com/index...roducts_id=698
We hope to keep design lines the same. Its a hybrid bumper, but isn't your typical massively bulky 4th gen bumper.
Again, This is NOT a finished product. Its just in R&D right now. Its literally just tacked together, and we have more to add. Stay tuned.......

I'm hoping it will be similar to the other bumpers they sell... They advertise as being the most affordable bumpers (IIRC), and I think these hybrids are definitely the best looking.

Might the final product have hi-lift jacking points?

Looks great, I believe the mounting points are pretty close.
I've seen a couple of guys running FJC Hidden Winch mounts on 4Runners. Can't remember the brand but they quit making em or I would've had bought one myself a while back. I think it was Rasta.
If I remember correctly the only modification was that the OEM front 4runner bumper sticks out a little further and required a roller fairlead, spacers (not safe), or a very thick hawse fairlead. Frame ends were the same.

The mounting system for these is going to me a lot more work than our other models, so it will be a little more as there is more fabwork in building it. Its basically a two piece system consisting of the mounting crossmember and and the bumper itself. The crossmember will have an intergrated skid plate in it to help protect the A/C condenser. That piece will extend back to the lower skid.
That being said, it will likely come in under $1000 making it a viable option at a lower price price point than most of the other bumpers on the market for a 4th gen. We are hoping that the mounting system can cross over to 4th gens, and 2nd gen Tacomas, and this will allow us to have one universal mounting crossmember that spans a good range of years/vehicles.

I will vouch for Scotty and his work. I had an AOR tube bumper on my 3rd gen (99) T4R and it was great. I'm thinking this one will be a good one as well. Hybrid looks better than a tube bumper, I have to admit the tube bumper is not the prettiest thing just because the factory bumper hides a bunch of ugly mechanical stuff that is better left hidden.
I'm also glad to see another fabricator offering stuff in the CO Front Range area. IMO the biggest obstacle to armor is the cost of shipping. There are lots of folks who are OK with the idea of an $800 bumper but not with the idea of a $250+ shipping charge.

The FJ Cruiser version should be ready for pre-ordering later this week. We are finishing up the bumper and mounting system today and tomorrow. So, I will update it.
We also will have a 4th gen 4runner coming in soon for the mock up as well. I looked at an 03' yesterday and the mounting system looks identical. So, that should help with keep the crossmembers the same. But, I will need a later 06-09 to make sure they are all the same.
I hope to have the 4th gen ready for pre-ordering in 2-3 weeks as well.
