Drive not lighting up on dash

Hey guys looking for some help

Drive on the dash instrument cluster is not lighting up and not going into gear.
So basically only running with 4 gears, runs fine in 4th but just
Wanted to see if anyone has had this issue.

Its like the computer isnt recognizing it.

Any help would be great

Is it just the light? Or is the transmission also not shifting into 5th/overdrive?

The stick moves freely in and out of 5th/overdrive but the tranny doesnt actually shift into 5th/overdrive

I'm not sure if an OBDII scantool/code reader can pull up the Transmission shift data on the Data List, but its worth a shot? That way you can see whether or not the vehicle is actually seeing/registering that it is indeed in "D."

After that, there may not be too much more you can do from home. I suppose you may be able to test the circuits with a DMM (Digital Multi-Meter) but you'd have to get an EWD (Electrical Wiring Diagram.) I'd help you out if I could, but Toyota changed how the EWDs are shown on TIS and I can no longer save them as .pdf files.
