Exclamation Traction Control

Hello all, I am a new owner to a 2005 T4R. When I took it out for the first time I was climbing a hill in 4LO and noticed what I believe is the traction/limited slip kicking in. I press my diff lock button and thought it would keep it from doing it, however it continued to do it.

Also I notice that it will beep at me and A noise (engaging of traction control) will come from the front end when I make a U-Turn at a slightly faster than normal speed or pulling into a parking lot with a bump at a higher speed.

Am I just being paranoid and this is normal?

It's normal, took me a while to get used to the noises but the system works quite well despite them.

I thought 4Lo disabled traction control?

pushing center differential lock button on lower left side of dashboard disengages traction control.

I stand correct as NJshadow93 has stated below. too many acronyms these days!!

When you lock the center differential, that only disables VSC. Doesn't disable ATRAC which is always functional and works in the background. As stated, it works very well (one guy thought I had front and rear lockers going).

That all is completely normal. I hope you aren't doing a u turn on asphalt with everything locked. But yes if you turn quickly
Over a speed bump one tire might hop off the ground and the system recognizes one tire is moving at a different speed that the others and will kick in traction control

I have the 08 with the Traction Control button. Will this button disable ATRAC? If I press it monetarily once, it disables VSC, if I hold it down for a few seconds (like 5-10) it also shows the little drifty car symbol.

Thanks for the info, I guess it will just take time to get used to the engaging sound that comes in those situations!

U-turns are fine in normal street driving.
