man you guys are getting me in trouble with the wife... EVERYTIME i come to this forum, i always end up buying something for the 4runner!!!! lol

so yea i just bought a black piano wood - STANDARD ... cant wait to put it on!!!

Has anyone had issues with the leather cracking on their steering wheels prematurely? I'm about to reach out to the seller and see if they provide any type of warranty on this kind of issue.

Nope. Mine is showing wear on it but definitely no cracking.

So far so good. No signs of any "wear and tear", of course, I make sure my hands are clean before I drive. My wife mostly using our 4R, so she is good. Love this mod

to keep this thread relevant............... update!
Reporting "wheel wear". As you can see, there is SOME wear to the 8 and 4 o'clock position leather. After 5 years of use, it's not something I'm worried about or can immediately notice. I continue to enjoy my wheel each time I drive it. Worse case scenario, I'll just replace it with another one or wrap this one. The piano-black wheel is still in great shape. I've lost count how many times I accidently whacked it accidently with my watch/tools/etc.

Nice to still see you around Ed. I still have my truck and the wheel is still great as usual it's been on there for a gazillion miles now and still looks and feels new.

Wondering if the rim is thicker on all these than the stock leather wheel - even on the top piano black part. Stock wheel feels skinny.

So I got this wheel in 2014 and its just finally starting to really show heavy wear. I need to find another replacement as its starting to bother me. Hows everyone elses faring?
