Has anyone replaced their steering wheel with one froma GX/Land Cruiser etc?
I'm sick of how nasty my leather wrap has gotten. I really need to try and clean/condition it.
One of the perforated leather wheels from a Lexus would be cool

ebay offer submitted and accepted for $200!
i dont want to list the item YET till i get it and confirm it can work. after than, i will list it. i dont want others to get burned by it if it doesnt work.
it looks real nice and sweet.not a fan of wood, but i am a fan of a nice dark piano finish, perferated leather with intergrated sport grips and it looks thicker.
cant wait!

You can get a steering wheel just like that (specifically for 4Runners) as well as many other wood/leather types (B&I brand), or even carbon fiber, from CARID.com for about $300.00. Just saying that if you want a large selection, they have it:

Yes I know. I am a b and I retailer. Lead time is 4 to 6 weeks. They do not have piano black finish. They do not have perforated leather with thumb grips.

I have been selling b & I stuff since they had their warehouse in Brooklyn NY. Now manufacturing has moved to Mexico and quality has suffered. I got burned a few times on fitment issues on their dash trims and fender trims. So I stay away when ever possible from then.

Really? What kind of issues? Quality/premature wear/fitment?? I ask because this is where I wanted to get a "gray wood" steering wheel for mine. These guys seem to be the only ones who offer one. If they are as bad as you infer, then I guess I'll have no choice but just to have it "re-leathered".

nothing is bad on a small scale. i have stopped dealing with them for 4 years now.
then:
they will show a application for a new vehicle. sell them to me, then say oh we didnt confirm the new model is the same as the old model. real lack of quality control. fittment issues etc. i used them for dash over lays, their flat dash kits and moulded ones, fender trim and pillar posts. problem was i had the car here and it doesnt fir. it was counter productive, then i would have to be the one footing the bill to get it back to them for credit and warranty.
now:
who cares LOL they suck then, what could have changed now?
One of my largest distributors started selling their stuff around the same time we stopped. then they learned it was always a issue with them and dropped them the next year.
