Had one go out so I want to replace them. My initial thought was to get the Silverstar Ultra's at Walmart. Any recommendations on what to get? And how tp the Ultra's compare to the stock bulbs? Thanks

I would just buy some HID bulbs. I have the DDM kit for my headlights and fogs and have been running them for over a year. Lifetime warranty if the bulbs or ballast don't work. Only cost $30/kit. I think the halogen replacement bulbs cost more than that.
I recently picked up the sylvania ZXE. I personally don't like running HIDs without the projectors, but again, just personal preference. As for the ZXEs, they are awesome. Just my two cents.
I upgraded mine to H11's. It was like a $20-$25 upgrade and it increased output dramatically. All you have to do is sand out the one plastic tab and you're good to go

Doesn't the 4runner already use H11's? That's what the book told me to use at walmart.

More info would be great! Is it a drop in replacement? I know nothing about HID.

That's what I was thinking you said but wasn't sure. I heard about this from a few google searches. How much better are they compared to the Silverstar Ultras in H11?

If you are talking about replacing a low beam lamp, you already have projectors installed (2006+) and are perfectly capable of installing HID H11 lamps with ballasts. (just adjust the metal shield in the light housing to eliminate squirrel spotters and make sure your headlights are aimed correctly.)
if a fog light (9006), technically its a reflection housing and you shouldn't but alot of people do, if you choose to make sure to aim them down.
If a high beam (9005), I wouldn't recommend HIDs for this application, the ballasts don't like on off fast switch behavior. LED lamps are an option.

Ended up doing the H9 swap. It's definitely brighter and whiter. And cheaper. It lights up the road much better and I can see the light cutoff better too. My brights are still much brighter but I will probably upgrade those too.
