Yes it's the one ARB asked for a 2006-2009 V8 for recently. Let me know with any questions or pictures anyone wants me to take!!! I'm excited to go drive around more with it haha

If you install a snorkel, you should generally already have a lift, tires and armor installed. With these mods, fuel mileage should be your last concern. I cant fathom worrying about fuel mileage with these mods.

Totally agreed!!! I will say based on the snorkel size and shape, it looks like most of the ones guys were putting on were choking out the V8, this thing is a monster! like twice the size of the LC80 looking at pictures. It has a super nice low cut off so it flows super well, it looks closer to the LC200 snorkel style than the LC80 imo. Time will tell about mileage, but i have a V8 and never cared about gas mileage anyways haha

Any idea whether ARB will offer the same snorkel for the V6 or if it will be smaller?

I have no clue about the V6, the V8 one would flow more than enough for the V6 obviously but not sure if they planned to release a specific V6 one or not, i didn't think to ask that

Obviously they need to cut and drill through the fender for snorkels, but with this design do they modify the fender flare underneath the snorkel too...?

I wasn’t there for the install, I’m assuming it’s similar to other Tacoma or 4runner Safari snorkel installs, where a stencil is used for general location and drilling a larger hole with smaller anchor holes around.

It looks awesome!

But I'm not sure I like the intake opening of the snorkel facing forwards, it would seem in a down pour it would suck water into the intake and or if any water is splashed up high enough during a water crossing the same would happen, but the rain would be my foremost concern, did they say anything about that, also do you know if the intake can be rotated to face the rear?

It can def be turned around 100% I’m not going to though, Safari designs these to drain water I’m not worried about it. Good points though!!

Water droplets that make it in the opening hit the inside walls of the head and are directed out thru small drain channels. The design has been around for decades, they've got that concern figured out.
