Cool thanks! I'm gonna try Rago Fab brackets with those sweet side projecting led pods, we'll see how it goes haha

i saw it today on there still $540ish and not sure if free shipping.

if anyone hears of any sales for this snorkel please let us know!!

i missed the black friday one and am really having trouble dropping $600 on this plastic. esp since its nearly 10% of what i paid for entire vehicle.

thanks!!

I have a question about this... now I understand the concept about the snorkel and also looks super bad ass.!! But.. if water is getting so high you would need a snorkel.. then about electronics, alternator etc?? Why are we not worried about these being covered or submersed fully in water?

I believe the original design intent for snorkels was so the engine got fresher air in dusty conditions. Safer river crossings is just a bonus.

As for other water limits, an alternator or other parts can be replaced, an entire engine is a little more difficult.

The engine air intake sucks in air through the wheel wheel, and the tires splash up water during a crossing. The engine bay is well protected comparatively.

Unboxed the snorkel last night. Seems the V6 version is the same as the V8 version. It is stamped with "SS440HF/ SS445HF". Is that everyone's understaning? If so, why have 2 different model numbers? @TotalAutomotiveLV

Update on Group Buy

Hey everyone--happy new year

I apologize that it's been so long since i've been on here. about 2 months. My transmission failed, and I had to replace it. This hadn't exactly been my priority for a little while. But, I digress.

I have been trying to get ahold of vendors for the group buy, and there was early enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the vendor who I got ahold of that priced them pretty competitively for a group buy (with free shipping) has not responded to my attempts to contact them. So, back at square one.

I'm still interested in seeing if we can keep the group buy going (for those who would still want in). Does anyone know of a reliable vendor we could contact? The prices I'm seeing for the snorkels are currently hovering around the $550 mark. If there is still enough interest in them, maybe we could get them just below $500?

Not quite below $500, but Total Automotive LV is offering them shipped for $509.26 until the 10th.

Ugh, price is still super high for what it is but after putting my demello front bumper on and cutting the fender liners it almost seems necessary.

I agree. I just bought a front and rear bumper at the same time so I'm not sure I want to pull the snorkel trigger just yet lmao. It is tempting though...

It is definitely necessary
