because this has come up more than a few times in the LED thread and i just so happen to get this info when i purchased my 05, figured i would post up the OEM PNs for all the bulbs for the HVAC and info center.

That's the same illustration that the dealer gave me when I bought all 8 of the bulbs. I only had 2 bulbs working. I replaced them all at once. It's nice to see the info display again.

The OEM bulbs that I replaced (9 total) cost me $33.15 including sales tax, from the dealer.

Here are the neo 3 leds NuclearN8 is recommending. $1.29 each and you can choose colors.

https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...panel-led/220/

I just had ONE bulb burned out. I went to Mechanicsville Toyota (VA) today and I paid $9.48 for ONE. Oh, and they want $75 to program two keys I've already had cut free at Ace Hardware. No wonder the three new 4Runners I've bought through the years came from elsewhere.

Can anyone tell me what size, using above link, fits the larger 14 volt bulbs at the top of the unit?

Here's a youtube on opening the dash:

Bulb Voltage?

I had one of the two bulbs out on the info display so I pulled it apart and looked for any obvious issues, unseated etc.. After a visual inspection, I put them both back in. Now both are out. I checked the voltage on the circuit board itself (where the bulb socket actually seats) and I read about 6.5 volts. Is this correct?

I don't mind trying the radio shack route and purchasing two bulbs and threading the sockets myself but after watching the YouTube video in this thread, it looks like I should be seeing 12 volts on the circuit board.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

6.5v is normal for te info display, oddly enough. Everything else is 12v.

Good to hear, I just want to be sure I'm chasing the correct problem.

Seemed strange that I had one bulb out, thought I'd reseat it and be good. I tapped on the dash and it flickered so I was optimistic.

When I put it back together, both were out.

Are these bulbs polarity specific? I know the LED's are.

Will any of these replacement bulbs provide a brighter info display than the OEM bulbs? Any comments on the info display brightness after bulb replacement?

So, in order to do a the HVAC controls and LCD info panel in white, what would need to be purchased from here?

Had another of mine burn out today, guess I should be doing this soon.

Question: Does the back window switch have just the one that lights up the center or do the up & down also bulbs?
