4th Gen w/ 5th Gen TE wheels 265/70/R17s

I picked up a set of 5th gen Trail Edition wheels for my 4th gen Limited and I'm trying to figure out what are the biggest tires I can fit in largely stock form. From searching all over this forum and others, it seems like 275s are too big and even going with the 265/70s over the stock size has caused some rubbing for folks. What I can't find is the offset for TE wheels versus the offset for the stock 18" limited wheels. I see a "15" stamped on the TE wheels, but this doesn't seem correct. I'm looking to go with the Cooper AT3 (based on the great review here), most likely in the 265/70/R17 size.
Does anyone know what the offsets are on those two sets of wheels?
Any ideas if we will have rubbing issues?

Thanks!

My guess is that if you have Tacoma springs up front, you'll be very happy with 265/70/R17 regardless of the offset. You could always try to find a small tire shop that doesn't mind a picky customer and test fit a couple of sizes.

I ran the fj 8-hole wheels (same as early 5th gen trail wheels) wrapped in 265/70 17 Terra grapplers for a long time with no lift and the only rubbing I had was very slight at full lock and partial droop on the front mud flaps.

Perfect, thanks for replying. Those are the same wheels I bought, the 8 hole. Seems I should be ok then.

I'm pretty much running the same setup as you on my Limited. The stock 18's are +25 on the offset and the trail wheels are +15. The set I purchased came with the OEM Bridgestone H/T's in 265/70/17 and they fit just fine with no rubbing.

Wow, our setups are very, very similar! That is really helpful. Your truck looks great. You have me thinking a small spacer up front might be a good thing. Do you have the spacer in front & back? Thanks for replying!

As of right now, I do not have any spacers in the back. The wheel openings above the tires have about the same amount of space front and rear but the front end of the running boards are higher than the back. Next year I'll be swapping in some 895E springs to get the back end a bit higher and get rid of the small amount of reverse rake. For what it's worth, I'll probably be installing some Camburg front upper control arms as well. This thing wanders a bit on the highway even with the alignment in spec.
